Mike Magee

Michael Magee is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Investment Performance Services, LLC (IPS). He assists in the daily management of firm operations and is responsible for the supervision and implementation of internal controls and external procedures, applicable laws, and regulatory standards. Mike serves as the Chairman of the IPS Management Committee, which establishes and executes IPS’ strategic business initiatives.

Prior to joining IPS, Mike was the Chief Operating Officer for 11 years at Chartwell Investment Partners, an investment management firm in suburban Philadelphia that manages assets for Taft-Hartley benefit plans, public funds, and high net worth individuals. At Chartwell, Mike oversaw all business management functions including trading, operations, technology, and compliance. Prior to Chartwell, Mike worked for a division of Legg Mason, Clearbridge Investments, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Business Management. Additionally, Mike has held senior roles in marketing, sales, and operations at OppenheimerFunds and Prudential Investments.

Mike earned his B.S. in Business Economics from S.U.N.Y. Oneonta, an MBA from Manhattan College and an MSIS from Stevens Institute of Technology.
