Earlier this year Investment Performance Services, LLC (“IPS”), an independently owned investment consultant providing proactive advice and customized investment solutions to plan sponsors and private clients appointed Richard I. Sichel, Jr. as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, and Jennifer Mink as President.
IPS was founded in 1986 and serves over 250 client funds including Taft-Hartley benefit plans, public funds, and private clients, representing approximately $70 billion in assets under advisement. The promotions coincided with IPS’ establishment of its headquarters in metropolitan Philadelphia. As the first employee in the Pennsylvania office, Mr. Sichel has grown the office over the past 25 years to 30 employees.
Mr. Sichel and Ms. Mink oversee IPS’ strategic business initiatives, client engagement and growth, while also continuing to serve clients directly as Senior Consultants. Mitchell J. Green, IPS’ previous CEO, remains with the firm as a Senior Advisor and Senior Consultant.
As CEO, Mr. Sichel oversees the firm’s day-to-day management, including strategic investment policy decisions, and development of client relationships. He joined IPS in 1999, and most recently served as President. He continues to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee, and Management Committee, leveraging his more than three decades of consulting experience and expertise on behalf of defined benefit plans, 401(k)s, and private clients.
“It has been an honor to serve IPS for more than 25 years and to work alongside our dedicated team and industrious clients,” said Mr. Sichel. “We are proud of IPS’ long-standing reputation for meaningful client partnerships, and we recognize—and take seriously—that our advice directly impacts the lives of plan beneficiaries.”
As President, Ms. Mink continues to focus on client engagement, firm-wide business strategy and marketing initiatives, while working across all aspects of client funds—including investment policy development, asset allocation, performance monitoring, and manager due diligence. She also serves on IPS’ Investment Committee and Management Committee, contributing to the firm’s strategic direction and execution. She has been with IPS for 22 years, first joining the firm in 2003 as a Senior Consultant.
Ms. Mink added, “Over our 39-year history, IPS has grown significantly, yet our dedication to helping clients make informed decisions to achieve their investment goals has remained steadfast. We are proud to support working communities nationwide and value the long-standing relationships we’ve built with our clients—some dating back to our founding.”
